Personal Training for Your Face and Neck

Are you concerned about aging that shows up with lines or sagging on your face or neck? Does your face and neck skin look and feel blah, lack tone and vibrancy?

All muscles and tissues require water, oxygen and the flow of blood to remain as vibrant and flexible as possible. As we age, blood (which carries oxygen) and water flow can become more restricted especially to the face and neck.

There are simple choices to make in your day to day self-care. Drink plenty of water to keep your muscles and skin from drying. Are the pads of your fingers wrinkled? If so, that might indicate you need more water in your system. On the back of your hand gently pinch your skin upward. Does it stay up or does it go back down quickly? If it stays up you may need more water. With enough water internally the lotions and anti-ageing products you apply on the skin surface will be of greater benefit.

Walk or exercise daily for at least 20 minutes—enough movement to breathe more deeply. Let go of those excuses that it is too early or late, too hot or cold. Walk in place while you watch TV or make a track through the rooms of your house. If you have a hot tub bicycle with your legs under water! Get moving so you breathe more deeply each day.

To give your face and neck skin a jump start to increase blood flow, facial rejuvenation through acupuncture can be very safe, natural, drug free and effective. Acupuncture can support you internally: make your skin glow, renew flexibility, reduce lines and other signs of aging. Acupuncture points throughout the body prompt the rejuvenation of our face and neck skin. Women and men leave rejuvenation treatments incredibly rested and relaxed while feeling vibrant. Facial rejuvenation also addresses underlying imbalances that contribute to ageing.

Chinese medicine perceives wrinkles can begin internally due to a weakness and imbalance in the flow of Qi (pronounced “chee”). It provides vital nourishment to each cell in every part of our body including the tissues, muscles and organs. As we age it can become a challenge for the Qi to adequately flow into the neck and face. With continued Qi nourishment we maintain muscle tone, decreasing
wrinkles and sagging. Improved Qi flow increases the blood flow which carries oxygen. This circulation brings nourishment from the inside which can allow the skin to glow and improve tone.

You are a miraculous package
wrapped up in the wonder of breathing skin. How you take care of yourself daily with choices of food, liquids, exercise, rest and just having fun regularly are the greatest contributors to vibrant, healthy and youthful skin. If you desire to add a natural, safe support, acupuncture treats you as a whole to be and feel your very best.
